Pomegranate Margarita Mocktail
Non-alcoholic drinks don’t have to be boring. I have been pleasantly surprised to see so many fun mocktail options at bars and restaurants recently. It’s inspired me to play around with some of my own mocktail recipes. Don’t be fooled by the lack of alcohol in this Pomegranate Margarita Mocktail, it still packs a powerful punch!
This Pomegranate Margarita Mocktail is full of flavor and the fresh fruit juices provide additional health benefits.

What you need to make these Pomegranate Margarita Mocktails:
- Pomegranate Juice: I do own a juicer and so I used fresh pomegranate juice for this recipe. Juicing can be time-consuming and fresh pomegranates aren’t always easy to find if they are not in season. There is no harm in grabbing a bottle of juice from the store; I would recommend looking for 100% juice to avoid additives and extra sugar.
- Lime Juice: You can’t have a margarita without lime juice! I recommend squeezing fresh limes for this recipe. Luckily there’s no need for a juicer with limes. It’s nice to have a hand-held citrus juicer but you can easily squeeze the juice out with just your hands, too. You can get more juice out of the lime if you roll it on the counter before cutting it.
- Orange Juice: Orange is a flavor that can elevate a margarita. If you have access to fresh oranges, just like the previous ingredients, I would recommend using fresh juice for this recipe. Oranges are easy enough to squeeze by hand, too. Store-bought juice will work, but it may affect the taste and nutritional value of the margarita. 100% juice works best for this recipe.
- Agave Nectar: Agave nectar will cut through the acidity of this pomegranate margarita and add some extra sweetness without processed sugar. Tequila is made from the agave plant so even though this is a mocktail recipe we are still getting the agave.
Not only does this Pomegranate Margarita Mocktail pack a delicious punch, but it’s also packed with some pretty beneficial nutrients, too. In order to get the full nutritional benefit from this mocktail make sure to use fresh, quality ingredients.
Health benefits:

- It’s anti-inflammatory

How to make this Pomegranate Margarita Mocktail:
Making this mocktail requires only a few steps and some simple ingredients. Start by gathering your juices. If you have access to a juicer and will be juicing your fruits, make sure to peel your fruit first. Gather all of your pomegranate arils and cut your citrus into small pieces. Add the fruit to the juicer, one fruit at a time. I would recommend juicing the pomegranates last as it will add a reddish color to the other juices if juiced first.
This recipe makes one serving and the size of the fruit will determine how much juice it will produce. One medium to large pomegranate should be enough for this recipe. If the pomegranate is on the smaller side you may need to use two. One lime should provide enough lime juice, especially if you roll the lime before cutting it. This makes it easier to extract the juice. A medium size orange should produce more than enough juice for this recipe. You might even be able to get away with using just half an orange.
Once you have your juices properly measured, grab a shaker and fill it will a few cubes of ice. Pour the juice and agave into the shaker and shake, shake, shake! For best results sing and dance to Shake your Booty by KC and the Sunshine band while shaking your mocktail. 💃
After your little mocktail boogie, you can rim a small glass with lime juice and dip it into some flaky, margarita salt. Then fill your glass with ice and top with your mocktail. If you’re feeling fancy you can also garnish with a fresh lime wedge.
There you have it, folks. A simple, yet tasty mocktail that is so delicious you won’t even miss the tequila. If you try this recipe make sure to let me know in the comments or tag me on Instagram. Cheers! 🍹
